Ordering Guide

Please be aware that we work primarily with “sample stock” from our selected designers and while we try to have a wide range of sizes and colours available you should note that not all sizes and colours are available in stock, so it is advisable to telephone us first if you are looking to try a specific dress or size.

Once you have decided on your gown, we will measure your bust, waist, hips and length, and then use the suppliers’ size chart to decide which standard size is best to order for you.

Please be advised that delivery time is normally 16/24 weeks from the order being placed.  If your order is more urgent, a rush order can usually be arranged for which suppliers charge a “rush-cut” fee of approximately £25-£85, depending on the designer and type of dress.

When placing an order we ask for a 50% deposit which can be paid by cash, credit/debit card or cheque or, assuming your order does not need to be placed immediately, we can arrange for you to pay by instalments. As each dress is made for an individual client all deposits are none refundable and none transferable.

If the gown is from stock or from our “sale rail” then full payment will be required.

Dresses are available in sizes 2 to 32 and some suppliers levy an additional charge for dresses sized 20 and upwards.

All gowns are subject to additional charge for any alterations that may be required and we are very happy to provide a specific quotation prior to any work being carried out and a detailed alteration price list is available; please just ask and you can have a copy. Naturally, if you don’t want to use our service for your alterations you are free to seek the services of a third party, however all gowns must be paid in full prior to removal from the shop.

Once your dress arrives, we will check it over thoroughly and then contact you to try it on, and, depending on the timescales, to arrange fitting dates & times.

Balances are usually due within 30 days of the dress(es) arriving in store.

As a guide, we recommend that you allow at least 6 weeks before the wedding/occasion date for your first fitting. This then leaves plenty of time for our seamstress’ to do the work, and for you to come in for second and possibly third fittings.
